A special 7 day cycling journey taking in the best Hokkaido has to offer. Experience riding along quiet country roads, Japanese hospitality and culture combined with fantastic luxury accommodation and traditional Japanese and International cuisine. Our Japan Cycling Week is designed for those who are after an unique cycling experience.

Niseko- Hirafu is a mountain resort village which has become world renown for is huge winter snowfalls. While the international focus for Niseko has been winter, what the Japanese have always known is the attractions of Niseko and Hokkaido in summer. With mild temperatures, wide open spaces, great food, clean air and rivers add to this almost unlimited miles of hot mix on uncrowded roads through farms and over mountains and you have a road cycling paradise.

Bikestyle Tours and Hokkaido Tracks have teamed up to offer an amazing road cycling experience with our fully guided tour offering a mix of flat and hilly rides during the week, each day will have the option of a long (80 – 120km) or shorter ride (40-60km) to cater for all levels of cyclists. The week will be about enjoying your cycling, challenging yourself and learning a little more about cycling.

Our trips are geared to suit anyone with an interest in Cycling, we cater for cyclists of all abilities by providing riding options each day. To enjoy our trips you don’t need to be an athlete, but do need to be someone who cycles regularly and in good health. Each day we’ll have options for rides to suit people who feel like a challenge, or an easy day enjoying the scenery. As with all of our tours you’ll be guided by our expert team of ride leaders, drivers and guides.

Local Japanese Features:

Food – The Japanese obsession with quality food make the eating experience in Japan remarkable Japanese and International cuisine, using local Hokkaido produce is
exceptional. From our welcoming night Japanese BBQ through to a fine dining in Niseko at world class restaurants with wines to match – the cuisine will be truly memorable feature of this trip.

Japanese Onsen (hot spring)Onsens Another Japanese national pastime is the “onsen”. Natural hot spring water in a range of settings are one of the the major attractions of the Niseko area (long before skiing became popular). There are few experiences better than a onsen after a day in the saddle, the cold plunge pool after a the hot spring bath is better than a massage if you are up for the shock.

Hospitality: Experience the famous Japanese hospitality, not only from you hosts but also locals whom you will meet each day, in shops, on the road at night in the restaurants and cafes. Bikestyle and Hokkaido Tracks combine to provide a expert and seamless cycling holiday and japanese experience.

Fishing: The rivers around Niseko are famous in Japan for the quality of the fishing. Salmon and Yamame (native Japanese trout) are the main prizes to be had and the huge populations of both species mean most fishing trips have a happy ending.
