Bikestyle Tours Japan Cycling Week 2011
Niseko, Hokkaido

7 Nights: Sunday 4th September to Sunday 11th September, 2011

Regretfully we have decided to postpone this trip until 2012 due to the recent Earthquakes and Tsunamis. Our thoughts go out to the people of Japan.

Bikestyle Tours is pleased to again be offering our Japan Cycling Week in 2011.

Bikestyle - map of Japan2010 was a great success and we are looking forward to another great week of great cycling along quiet, smooth country roads, enjoying Japanese hospitality and culture with fantastic accommodation and cuisine.

Niseko- Hirafu is a mountain resort village which has become world renown for is huge winter snowfalls. While the international focus for Niseko has been winter, what the Japanese have always known is the attractions of Niseko and Hokkaido in summer. With mild temperatures, wide open spaces, great food, clean air and rivers add to this almost unlimited miles of hot mix on uncrowded roads through farms and over mountains and you have a road cycling paradise.

Riders on country road, JapanBikestyle Tours and Hokkaido Tracks have teamed up to offer an amazing road cycling experience with our fully guided tour offering a mix of flat and hilly rides during the week, each day will have the option of a long (80 – 120km) or shorter ride (40-60km) to cater for all levels of cyclists. The week will be about enjoying your cycling, challenging yourself and learning a little more about cycling.

An added bonus this week is that Niseko will be “Cycling Central” as it hosts the Niseko Cycle Week from Friday 10th September to Monday 20th September.

Combine the cycling with luxury self contained accommodation, Japanese hospitality and culture, great Japanese and international food from Hokkaido, the “bread basket” of Japan, and you have a week not to be missed.

exceptional. From our welcoming night Japanese BBQ through to a fine dining in Niseko at world class restaurants with wines to match – the cuisine will be truly memorable feature of this trip.

Japanese Onsen (hot spring)Onsens Another Japanese national pastime is the “onsen”. Natural hot spring water in a range of settings are one of the the major attractions of the Niseko area (long before skiing became popular). There are few experiences better than a onsen after a day in the saddle, the cold plunge pool after a the hot spring bath is better than a massage if you are up for the shock.

Hospitality: Experience the famous Japanese hospitality, not only from you hosts but also locals whom you will meet each day, in shops, on the road at night in the restaurants and cafes. Bikestyle and Hokkaido Tracks combine to provide a expert and seamless cycling holiday and japanese experience.

Golf: For those partial to swinging the clubs, Golf at one of various championship quality local courses is available most afternoons, club rental is available. We have also included an afternoon Park Golf event for everyone to enjoy.

Fishing: The rivers around Niseko are famous in Japan for the quality of the fishing. Salmon and Yamame (native Japanese trout) are the main prizes to be had and the huge populations of both species mean most fishing trips have a happy ending.

Karaoke: No trip to Japan would be complete without belting out a few tunes at the local Karaoke Bar. A very different experience to what most of you would have had at a western karaoke establishment, for Japanese, Karaoke is an institution.
