Audax Australia have selected the Mercure Versailles Parly 2 as the hotel for Australian riders to stay at before and after Paris-Brest-Paris 2011. A comfortable 3 star hotel close to the town of Versailles and convenient for the start and finish of PBP in Guyancourt.

The hotel is opposite the large Parly 2 shopping centre and 2 kms from the famous Chateau of Versailles. The hotel has all conveniences including air conditioning, vital for a good nights sleep before PBP on a hot summer night, plus WIFI throughout the hotel. If booked as part of the Australian contingent you will have access to the bike storage area in the hotel, a comprehensive set of tools and spares supplied by Bikestyle Tours, plus storage for your baggage during PBP. You will also be able to take advantage of our free transfer service from Versailles rail station to the hotel, plus the option of airport transfers to Paris CDG airport after PBP.

Important information:

Check in time at the hotel is 2.00 pm. Check out time is 11.00 am. You need to consider your start time for PBP and your expected finishing time when booking your room. Most people will want to keep their room for the afternoon of 21 August if doing the early evening start time so they can rest before the start. If expecting to finish PBP in the early hours of the morning it is wise to book the previous night at the hotel so your room is available immediately when you arrive at the hotel.

All bookings are subject to a 3 night minimum (non consecutive).

Rooms are available for any night during the period 17 – 27 August. For convenience non cycling family and friends may stay at the hotel while you are off riding PBP.

If you do not have a person to share with, but wish to book as a twin share, we will endeavour to find another person of the same sex for you to share with. If this is not possible the single room price must be paid and you will have the luxury of a room on your own.

You have a choice of standard or superior rooms (subject to availability). Superior rooms are slightly more spacious and are newly renovated.

Full payment required to confirm your booking.

Once confirmed your booking is subject to the following conditions:

Up to 90 days prior to arrival at hotel: Cancellation penalty of one nights accommodation. If you are forced to cancel your booking because your entry has not been accepted by Audax Club Parisien due to the Australian quota you will receive a full refund less a $100 administration fee.

Inside of 90 days prior to arrival at hotel: Non refundable.

We advise all people making booking to obtain adequate travel insurance to cover cancellation costs at the time of booking, plus of course be sure that they are covered during PBP.
