Bikestyle Tours is pleased to again offer its trip for the Giro d’Italia 2007.
The final route has been announced and we will be following the final 11 days of the race starting on the 24th May and finishing on the 4th June. Unlike the riders in the race we will be doing it with a nice mix of comfort, style and fantastic cycling. The race will take us to some of the most beautiful places anywhere including the Magical Lakes of Northern Italy and the Stunning, Snowcapped Dolomites.
You will be able to ride along quiet scenic roads, through beautiful villages, up famous climbs where the view is spectacular, down challenging descents and then watch and see how the pros do it and enjoy the fine regional produce afterwards! As usual we will be staying in Premium 4 star hotels with all the modern comforts.

Our trip will be fully escorted (including rides each day) by former Giro top 10 finisher and stage winner, Micheal Wilson and former Gerolsteiner pro and native Italian Fred Morini.
Micheal had a great career throughout the 80’s and 90’s. He rode the Giro five times with an 8th in 1985 and 17th in 1986 and was a stage winner from Viareggio to Cortona in the 1982 Giro d’Italia. The podium in the 1985 Giro consisted of: Overall winner: Bernard Hinault, 2nd Francesco Moser and 3rd a certain Greg LeMond.
He rode for two teams most of his career. Alfa Lum and Helvetia in the company of Steve Bauer as some Canadians might remember. He has also won stages in the 1983 Vuelta a España and the 1989 Tour of Switzerland.Michael will be on hand each day to talk, ride and share a post race drink in the bar with you.
Fred Morini, from the Umbrian town of Città di Castello is just 30 years old but behind him he already has a life which is full of experience, a life which touched on glory and also overcame a serious accident. Federico is his real Christian name and he has dedicated two thirds of his life to sport because he started cycling at seven years old. Read more about Fred here.
Experience tells us that people who come on our trips have quite different goals and the range of capabilities on the bike vary from those who are race fit and want to see what it is like on a hard day at the Giro to people who ride infrequently and just want to “stretch” their legs. So each day we offer rides to suit most people with 2 or 3 options varying from 40km to 120km depending on terrain. Our rides are planned around the Giro and often involve rides along the course ahead of the race or through a scenic part of the area we visit.
Bikestyletours.com have been organising cycling trips to Europe since 1996 and this is our sixth trip to the Giro d’Italia. Over those years we have learnt a lot.
Whilst our trip is primarily based on the Giro d’Italia it will cater for non-cycling partners too with bus trips to strategic locations along the course and visits to tourist spots while the cyclists do what cyclists do!
Our trips are designed to give excellent quality, value for money cycling holidays with the emphasis on cycling while not forgetting to enjoy what our destinations have to offer.
Italy has always had the ingredients for a fantastic cycling holiday. Quiet roads, breathtaking scenery, beautiful villages, famous climbs, great hotels, mouth watering food and magnificent Vino to name a few! The past two Giros have been the most exciting races of 2005 and 2006. It exploded to life with the advent of the Pro Tour in 2005 and has now made itself a must see event.
